About Us
Welcome

Thank you for choosing Green Valley Christian Preschool. It is our sincere pleasure to serve you by providing your child(ren) with a loving, safe, and nurturing preschool environment. We understand that leaving your child in a new place can be an adjustment for both you and your child, which is why we are proud of our open door policy. You are always welcome to call or visit during the day to check on your child. Your child’s well being and safety are at the center of all that we do. We hire only loving, well qualified staff that are in compliance with both state and health regulations. All employees have undergone an FBI background check, have an up to date health card, and have taken courses in Symptoms of Illness, Child Abuse and Neglect, and are CPR certified. Additionally, many of our preschool staff have obtained their Child Development Associate certificate.  We are so pleased to have your family as part of our family, and it our prayer that the Lord will richly bless our newfound relationship.

History of Green Valley Christian Preschool

Green Valley Christian Center’s founder and Senior Pastor, Gary Morefield, had a vision for a Christian preschool.  After much prayer by the pastors and board members, everyone could clearly see God moving Green Valley Christian Center to sponsor a Christian preschool ministry.  The Preschool was started in February 1990, and has achieved an excellent reputation in the Las Vegas valley. Our preschool parents enjoyed the excellence of the Preschool so much that they wanted that same standard for their children entering Kindergarten. Much time and research was required to develop a Christian school with a high standard of excellence in education and spiritual guidance; and in 1993 Green Valley Christian Center established the next phase of Christian Education by offering Kindergarten and increased a grade level each year. As of the 2008-2009 school year we are serving students through 10th grade, with plans to continue expanding through 12th grade.

Philosophy

Our purpose at GVCPreschool is to serve our Lord, by providing our community with the best possible Christian education.  We are committed to providing the best possible staff and learning environment to nurture your child’s spiritual growth and social development in these most formative years and encourage you to take part in your child’s learning experiences. GVCPreschool is also a ministry of Green Valley Christian Center. It is our prayer that the un-churched would come to know God’s saving grace. We pray every year that the Lord would place students and parents at GVCPreschool to whom we would be able to minister. It is our belief that you are not here by chance, but by the divine order of God.

Our Mission Statement

Here at Green Valley Christian Preschool we have two passionate goals, first to be the best Christian Preschool and School in the United States.  This is at the heart of every policy we make and every program we offer. Our second goal is to provide a loving and nurturing environment that will challenge our children to achieve their emotional, spiritual, and academic best. In order for us to achieve these goals, it is imperative for us to set the right foundation with our preschool students; and then continue on with our elementary, preparatory, and high school students, providing the best Christian Preschool and School in the nation.

Statement of Faith

  • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God          (2Timothy 3:16)
  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God, the Father, God, the Son, and  God, the Holy Ghost. (2Cor.13:14)
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal, future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. (Matt. 16:16)(1 Cor. 15:3-4)
  • In the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.  (Titus 2:13)
  • The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. (I Peter1:1819)
  • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.  (John3:3 5)
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life, and the other to everlasting damnation.  (John 5:28-29)
  • In water baptism by immersion.  (Matt. 28:19)
